Alter Enersun is once again renewing its sponsorship with the C.B. Al-Qázeres team for the 21/22 season. This is how he presented himself on the afternoon of September 16, in one of the incomparable settings of the city of Cáceres such as the Foro de los Balbos, at the foot of the City Hall.
Among those attending the event, in addition to the staff and coaching staff of the senior team ALTER ENERSUN AL-QÁZERES EXTREMADURA, were the CEO of Alter Enersun, José Luis Morlanes, the manager of Alter Enersun, Raúl García, members of the Club’s board of directors, and the mayor of the capital among other personalities from the City Council and the media.
Those in charge of presenting this agreement would be; on behalf of the sponsoring company ALTER ENERSUN, the CEO José Luis Morlanes; on behalf of the club, the president Alfonso Sánchez and on behalf of the City Council, as a fundamental part of the union between the company and the club, was the Hon. mayor, Luis Salaya.
During the event, Alfonso Sánchez, president of the club, had a few words of gratitude to Alter Enersun for having bet on the club one more year despite relegation. “We need it because this year there are many difficulties. It’s going to be a hotly contested league and all support is essential.”
With the final of the Copa de Extremadura as a simile, Alfonso remarked on the difficulty that the Women’s Challenge League will have, a league with which the club does not want to lose its hallmark, betting this season on the youth academy for national players, and aiming to hook the city to women’s basketball.
For his part, José Luis Morlanes, CEO of Alter Enersun wanted to highlight the company’s commitment from the beginning, “a year ago Luis (Salaya) asked us to lend a hand to the club and we did not hesitate for a moment”. He also stressed that Alter Enersun’s commitment to Al-Qázeres goes beyond sporting successes: “Our commitment to the team is independent of the category. It is a commitment to Cáceres and to equal opportunities and gender. Wherever you are, Alter Enersun will be with you.”
It should be noted that Cáceres is the city in Extremadura in which Alter Enersun has invested the most money to date. Fossil energies are becoming more expensive and more polluting and Renewable Energies are the future, which is why Alter Enersun wants Cáceres to move towards that future, with the construction of multiple projects. With all this, Morlanes wanted to send a clear message to the entire city and its inhabitants, “you can count on us not as something temporary”.
For his part, the mayor of Cáceres, Luis Salaya, stressed that “Alter is a company that comes from very close and with a clean energy project. They want to be one more company in the city.” In this way, the mayor once again gave importance to both the work of the sponsor and the club, “For the girls of the city it is important to have a reference team, a place to play, where to develop so that at 13 or 14 years old they do not abandon the sport”.
