Alter Enersun has become the great sponsor of CB Al-Qázeres Extremadura, which will now be renamed Alter Enersun Al-Qázeres Extremadura, for the next 2020-2021 season that will start in September. Raúl García, manager of Alter Enersun, announced the collaboration agreement on August 28 together with the mayor of Cáceres, Luis Salaya, and the representative of Alter Enersun Al-Qázeres Extremadura, Alfonso Sánchez, where he pointed out that he intends to “support the team to continue and achieve its objectives, something that makes us enormously proud”.
Presentation of Alter Enersun Al-Qázeres Extremadura
The presentation to the media took place in the incomparable setting of the Foro de los Balbos, at the foot of the Cáceres City Hall. For his part, Sánchez thanked both the institutional and Alter Enersun for their collaboration, stressing that “without public support it would be impossible, but without private support, from some people who have a totally altruistic interest it would be unviable”
In this sense, García pointed out the importance of this “new project” for Alter, which unites the company with the capital of Cáceres and to which he stressed another large project will soon be added; the construction of the Cáceres 2020, Cáceres 2021 and Cáceres 2023 Photovoltaic Plants, located in the municipal territory of the city and which will begin before the end of the year.
Once the three plants are commissioned, scheduled for 2021, they will have an installed capacity of 131 MW, which will mean enough energy generation to supply energy to more than 70,000 homes.
